To Greece 

By air

You can catch flights all over the world to Athens Internation Airport “Elefterios Venizelos” (ATH) or the Thessaloniki’s “Makedonia” (SKG) airport.

Charter flights are also connecting European cities and island Skiathos, which is just opposite of Pelion. The last  years a new flight destination,  the military airport of Nea Anhialos (VOL) in Magnesia region near Volos city, is connected by charter flights with the airport of Manchester, London Heathrow and Amsterdam Schiphol & low cost airlines are flying there from all over Europe as well.

By ship 

There are several companies connecting Ancona, Bari, Brindisi and Venice with Igoumenitsa and Patra.

By car or train 

It is possible to reach Greece through the main roads of the Balkans. Alternatively, follow the route through Italy using the Ferry – Boat  connection. By railway lines from the main stations of central and eastern Europe to Thessaloniki.

To Mangesia region and Volos 

By car 

You can reach Volos by the National road Patras – Athens – Thessaloniki (E 75) , or by the National road E 92 from Igoumenitsa to Larisa and then to Volos.  Bellow there are the distances in kms.

  • Thessaloniki – Volos: 211 kms.
  • Igoumenitsa – Volos: 371 kms.
  • Athens – Volos: 309 kms.
  • Patras – Volos: 540 kms.

By bus or train 

You can use KTEL  (private bus-lines company) connecting all main greek cities with Volos. Train itineraries are held every day from the railway stations of Thessaloniki, Patras and Athens to Volos.

To Pelion and Damouchari

There are daily KTEL buses from the town of Volos to all villages of Pelion. In order to reach Damouchari you have to step off at Mouresi or Agios Ioannis, where you can catch a Taxi to Damouchari. If you have a reservation you will be picked up

By car or taxi 

You can get a taxi from Volos to Damouchari either through the village Hania or through Milies. The distance is about the same (56km). On the road through Milies you follow the signs towards Tsagarada. As you pass it start descending to the sea. Through Hania you drive to Agios Ioannis and after it you reach Damouchari. At Volos it is possible to find a taxi to Damouchari and the cost is about  € 45. Coming in touch with a taxi-driver of the region, before arriving, you could arrange it so as to be picked up either in Volo’s bus station, railway station or in the port. We could facilitate the arrangement if required.
